your top 3 reasons for being pulled.

Featured Replies

1. Driving too slow

2. I've got a Toyota Camry that cost £170 and looks stolen

3. Being too low

My last new years eve was spent in the back of a cop car being breathalized!

I got pulled at 11.50pm on New years eve. My wheel bearing was whining like crazy, didn't really want it to explode so i was doing about 15mph. Copper pulled up behind me Asked why i was driving so slow... Told him about my bearing but he just wanted to breathalize me.

Then they moved onto the car, had 165s on a 7j, my cars bagged so i Air'd it out after they pulled me so it was obviously too low, asking me if it had passed an MOT etc. When the breathalizer came up as 0.0% they just said, yea we won't go over your car with a fine tooth comb.

Sound as f*ck really, So off i went 15mph lol, dragging the exhaust lmao. :-D

I've been pulled for the following..

1. Because we seen your car was a 'GTi' and it's 2am.

2. Because we've seen you too many time around round.

3. You were speeding up the bypass, we were doing 60mph to keep up. Hmmm?!

Police are numb nuts at times like.

i've been pulled 3 times, first for german style plates, £60 fine. can't complain too much it was bound to happen sooner or later!

second time was me trying to get to the co-op by my mates before it closed at 11  copper pulled me over, thankfully had done all his checks previously so i didn't have to sit there for ages, he said "you seem to be driving a bit fast sir", i didn't know where he had seen me from so said "really? where to?", to which he replied "everywhere" i just said sorry, i was trying to get to the co-op before it closed, he sent me on my oway with a warning that driving like that could get me some points. so pretty good turn out!

third time was like 4 in the morning i was dropping my mate home, pulled me over because "it's late and we see two youngsters in a car, we thought you might have been out drinking, although your driving is very good" (that annoyed me, if my drivings alright why bother pulling me, bored with nothing to do? i'd like to get home thank you very much  )

Dude you told me he only charged you £30 for one plate? aha

Also trust you to be speeding to co-op xD

Haven't been pulled yet (touch wood), though I expect someone will pull me up on my plates soon, even though they're the uk legal pressed plates from dubmeister

Pulled for no seat belt and no insurance. All this on a provisional licence.

6 points and £230 fine. Needless to say have learnt my lesson the hard way.

i've been running pressed plates for a year and pulled once, i just quoted that they adhere to all british standard provisions for number plates, including letter height, width, colour, font style, spacing, reflectivity of yellow/white backplate, size of number plate etc. and that they are stamped with BS AU154d. so after i told him that, he breathalized me because it was nearly christmas. lol.

i got pulled 5times in a week for pressed plates blagged it everytime haha

once for apprently no insurance becuase it hadn't got onto their system yet

once because i looked like a wanted driver

once outside my own house cause they just wanted to see why i was stopping lol

i think thats it only been driving about 2 years but touch wood they left me alone recently :)

my funniest stop was in my first 106 me and 4 of my mates. my car was really ratty, every panel was dented and covered in graffiti, even the rear windows, seats, dash everything basically. used to let everyone draw on it lol. was a laugh.

any police car behind following me into a housing estate and stops behind me when i stop. we all get out and the copper goes "your cars riding a little low", i replied "its standard height what do you mean", she then told me i had too many people in my car. i said it has 5 seats, 5 belts, 5 people, nothing wrong with that. then she said no one was wearing the seat belt, my reply to this was bit late to check were all out of the car now. she had no comment to this. she started looking at the car making comments of the state. lastly she noticed that my car was so dirty that the rear plate wasn't visible and had a little rant about that so i just wiped it.

such a picky copper but luckily the car was mechanical sound unlike the rest

Ha!

seems like she just wanted to pick a fight!

Looks like the 5 O up outside London are a lot more pickier than in london!

I got ANPR'd, pulled and the car searched on a car with a drugs marker on its file.

Car was a hire car that I wazs deliverring for defleeting

What a tit you are....

showering a cop car in the lane next to me with sparks as my subframe hit the floor

I've been pulled because

my car looks funny, so i said uts been lowered and then he relised??

and the other 2 times, My insurace didnt show up on there database in the car, more like BS!

My M.O.T had ran out at midnight and it was about 12:30, only time I've ever been pulled, fair cop i'd say

still... what are the chances?!

I've had a similar thing happen, was running a Laguna for a while and the MOT ran out. I kept driving it occasionally for about a month, obviously knowing its illegal and could get caught at any time. Didn't get caught for a whole month.

Then I decide I'll attempt to MOT it because it had been a month. Went to the test, failed the test, bought the bits to fix it, then driving it to a place to get it fixed...pulled by traffic! Couldn't believe my luck of being pulled when I attempt to be legal haha.

Other reasons for being pulled:

Police not being able to keep up with me round a roundabout

Owning a Saxo

Car looks dodgy being low

Police had never seen an openair Mk4 Polo

Sheet of polythene covering my BMWs rear window after it got smashed, I'd written I *Heart* My BMW on it. They wanted a laugh at it.

Section 59 for driving like a dick - put my hands up for that

Another section 59 for attending Jct 27 =/ (M1)

Pulled and breathalised for driving late at night

Pulled for loud exhaust

Pulled for driving down a bus only lane £60 fine i was running low too and the copper walked round my car and got his foot jammed under my splitter and just said its low isnt it? to which i replied yeah quite low and that was the end of it :)

No points just a £60 fine :)

Anyone here ever had a copper try and intimidate you into making a mistake? I had one turn around the other day to follow me, speeding above 60 to catch up. I was tempted to pull into a parking lay-by that was ahead, let him past and start following him, just to take the piss.

1. Looking too young at 12am - thought i stolen it (old slammed 6n)

2. Caught doing 41 in a 30 at roughly 12:30am - 9n tdi

Nice guy let me off luckily - said he could waste time giving me a ticket or he could insted catch a drunk driver.

got a talking to - which was fine i hold my hands up - i think its because i said that to him after he asked me if i knew what speed i was doing , i replied "I'm not going to bullshit you about 40mph , he replied ahcualy 41 average"

Even gave him a cheeky wave as i pulled out

Since then i seem to have everyone up my arse 24/7 when i stick to speed limits , it pisses me off to much!

After being pulled i take care with my speed now , you get the od nice person up your arse and weaving over the line behind to intimidate you

- i normaly drop down a gear - get the turbo going and boot it then let the speed drop down

You want to hear the best one..

I was driving at around 3am in the morning, next thing i know got blue lights behind me and i thought it was going to be a routine stop and search because of the way the polo is happens a lot.

The police come up to the car pulled the door open asked me to step out of the car then put cuffs on me and put me in the back of the police car, telling me i had been arrested for suspected theft of a blue volkswagen.

After the jackass realized 1. it was the wrong car it was a blue golf they were after 2. he didnt think to run the plates he just did it 3. the guys whole stole the vw was a white shaved head male with a grey hoodie on. Even after they left i was still standing there thinkin "did that just happen" :S

i got pulled for NOT driving in a bus lane :? benders :x

I've never been pulled.

Your very unlikely to get pulled by the police while sitting in an engineless car in a garage making engine noises Toby

once. Looking too young to be driving a TT, thought it was stolen

i've been passed a month now and already lost count of how many times i've been stopped.

main reason have just been general checks as i look about 12 but the best one way for going all the way around a roundabout when i was lost. i was in bridgewater at about 1am and went all the way round then off again at what you've been the first exit if i'd gone there straightaway, as soon as i turned off, a car came steaming up behind me flashing so i pulled over.

got license and insurance checks as usual, i then got brethalized. apparently i was displaying behaviour of a drunk driver, however had i have done exactly the same thing in broad daylight, it would've been seen as me just missing my turning because i was lost  i then got my car searched and they handcuffed me for having a boot full of hammers and a couple of stereos in my boot, explaining that i was an apprentice panelbeater to a policeman who suspects you have been breaking into cars and stealing stereos is like mission impossible :x

I've been pulled on for a light rear light out (Which was true) manged to blag it

She didn't even notice my pressed plates ^^ (German) which was lucky

Driving too Slow

And also been pulled for messing round with my hydraulics at a set of traffic lights ?!

Wow, I'm glad this aint a 'moan at police thread' some of the storys are just pathetic.

Got pulled the other day for doing 'about 90ish' along the M5 and undertaking (My sat nav took me the wrong way), I over took the cop car without even realising :/ Copper was a complete prick, Kicked my bumper because it had a soft Mickey Mouse toy hanging off the back which is apparently potentially a danger to other drivers and he made me pull it off. Didnt get any points though only he's marked my car now! :/
