you are bidding on a lovely little Volkswagen MK1 Golf Cabriolet Gl Auto.

I bought this car as a project to restore and get on the road for the summer but due to losing my job recently i can no longer afford to finish and enjoy this classic.

Good Points

Brand new Filler neck and rubber hose. These cars are renowned for the filler neck corroding so fitted a new one.

Brand new rear brake cylinders fitted to the rear drums (both Sides) and new brake fluid added.

Front calipers stripped down, greased & rebuilt so brakes are all working now.

New horn Fitted Old one had seen better days and wouldn't pass a MOT

Replacement rear boot hatch all straight old one was dented.

New Boot lock and key fitted again old one had snapped.

Comes with roof cover few small holes but still works.

Starts, drives and runs absolutely fine doesn't over heat or use to much water and oil.

i also have a lot of old receipts with the car and pass mots.

Overall this is a brilliant little car and i really don't think there is any reason it wouldn't pass a mot. only reason i haven't taken it for one is like i said at the start of the ad i have lost my job so i can not afford it.

If the car doesn't sell then i will find the money for an mot but then adjust the price accordingly

OK now the Bad Points

No Tax and MOT as stated in the ad this is a project car

Body although is pretty good condition for its age its not perfect few small rust patches and some surface bubbling on the paint work.

one piece of chrome trim missing. on the side.

As you can see from the pictures the boot is White so will need spraying but is straight unlike the old one.

Dash bulbs blown. clocks do not illuminate

Roof need a clean, the roof doesn't leak at all but does need to be cleaned.

Overall this is a great little car and would make a fantastic car for some summer days with very little work this could be a real head tuner.

So again there is NO tax or MOT so buyer will need to arrange transporting it.
