So, the wifes Polo drivers window (3dr) keeps dropping off the runners and it's got the point where i'm bored of taking the door to bits to sort it out so I went to my local VW dealer today and asked to buy the metal clips which fix to the glass and push onto the runner only to be told i had to replace the lot for £90...

To say the least I wasn't impressed with £90 for some metal clips however i've had a look on ebay etc... and there dosen't appear to be anything in the way of a replacement for sale?

Can anyone point me in the direction of some sort of replacement or repair kit? It's a 3dr with EL.

Any help would be useful, I want to avoid the scrap yard if I can.

Scrap yard is probably your best bet.

I got two whole units and fixed both my drivers and passengers windows for £20 from a scrappy.

Happened to me on a 5 door.

Had to have the full motor and the wire frame that holds the window in place, as its difficult to separate them.

Cost about £50 in total.
