Polo GTi 1.6 16v, silver 3dr (2001)

Featured Replies

Make: Volkswagen

Model:Polo GTi

Year/Reg: 2001 - X

Mileage: ~70000 its a daily so will go up

MOT: june 2012

Tax:unsure

Good points:

loads of service history, old mots, bills/receipts. Usual Gti specification including: red detailing on the interior, ABS, Alloy wheels, Central locking, xenon headlights, Headlight washers, Immobiliser, Passenger airbag, Drivers airbag, Electric door mirrors, Front electric windows, Heated door mirrors, PAS, Front fog lights.

Since buying the car I have fitted a standard air box and associate pipework as it came with an induction kit, new genuine VW headlights units (at a cost of £550), new front indicator clusters, brand new front VW grill badge (£25), fitted a flexy joint before the catalyst, fitted new EBC discs and green stuff pads to the front and a new o/s/r caliper.

It’s a great fun car to drive and looks fantastic.

with an estimated 130bhp its nippy about town and is also very good on fuel.

Extras on car:

height adjustable coilover suspension,

4 – 1 manifold with standard cat and custom cat back with golf GTi backbox,

its current wheels are the Audi pepper pots refurbished in reflex silver with red detailing,

will supply a set of pressed metal number plates,

plastic engine cover has been “stickerbombed” but I have a good spare one that I will supply.

lupo stubby mirrors (rare) painted in satin black (originals can be supplied)

Bad points:

passenger window does not go down from drivers side control,

do not have original boot carpet but I'm in the middle of hunting for one,

roof lining has been wrapped in red vinyl/leather could do with re-glueing but has never bothered me.

Location: Aberdeen

the tyres that are fitted to the pepper pots are 165,50,15 Bridgestone potenza RE040's all round with about 200 miles on them.

these were only fitted when i took off my Ronal's as the Ronals were running stretch which the police up here took a dis-liking to.
