load of fucking shit if you ask me

Yet another way the government can control what we do. They should fuck off and die

what a load of bollocks i agree with b-shaw

What do these people think the internet is? you open up a window and a thousand porn sites are thrown in your face?

If kids are looking at it on the internet it's cos they've searched for it, what's that got to do with the internet service provider?

Seriously wake the fuck up!!!

stupid idea invented by idiots who clearly have no idea how the Internet actually works.

How the buggery are the going to enforce this, really?

There's more porn on the Internet than anything else, and say if the kids dad allows porn to his ISP, the kid will still be able to search for it?

Load of bullshit.

All the club polo porn addicts getting pissed off

its got nothing to do with porn, its simply the fact that the government are looking for a way to get their foot in the door of internet censorship...

i think if kids are searching for it there going to find it, wether it be on the internet or there dads stash in the wardrobe. porn has been going on before the internet, and if they ban it off the internet they will get it from other sources, as was done back in the day. I've been able to look at porn for years, before the internet was the next big thing i used to watch it on vhs lol, so kids are going to find it. besides tv isnt far off porn anyway music videos, adverts makes me laugh. mind you the government has to try and do something else to piss us, off they have already raised tax on beer, fuel and fags exponentially so why not try banning porn seriously its a wasted exercise

Bush/ginnel porn will make a come back.

it's not about porn though.

Who decides what is and what isn't fit for us to look at on the internet? Why should the government decide this? Who are they to tell me what I can and cannot look at?

Why are they expecting ISPs to handle this? obvious lack of knowledge of how the internet works, it's like holding citylink responsible if they deliver something to you that you've bought off ebay and you dont like it. It's totally stupid and totally unworkable.

If parents are worried about what their kids are accessing then maybe they should take responsibility for their own kids instead of expecting other people to sort it out for them.

use software like netnanny etc, stops it coming up for kids, adults can turn it off... simple (AND NOT PROVIDED BY ISP / GOVERNMENT)

yes exactly. loads of software like that has existed for pretty much as long as the internet has been even moderately popular.

Surely, it's common sense -

If you don't want to bring up porn, don't search for it! ^_^

I notice the MP pushing this is a woman.. One who has insecurity issues, the stuck up cow.

I dont see a problem though really. Everyone who wants restricted content available will just opt in and still get it.

wanking should be a human right.

damn right!!!! but seriously, they cant do this ad how are we going to prove we are over 18?

Bush/ginnel porn will make a come back.

I deliberately donate to this every month.

Buy a jazz mag, go stick it in a bush. Come back the next day...GONE!

Except the 60+ one i put in a few months ago which stayed there for AGES!

What a load of rubbish.

If children of 8 years old are seeing 'hardcore' images then they are obviously being let loose on their parents computer with their mates and typing "big boobs" into google.

They won't accidentally stumble across porn while searching for the latest gossip on nickelodeon or cartoon network.

If parents are dumb enough not to monitor (or know how to monitor) their kids internet activities, then its their own fault for being dumb careless parents.

I just did this on Google images :shock:8-)

Hardly 'hardcore' though - little different to the school run..

looks like ill be buying some dvds

i love how one of the most political discussions on this forum is due to porn.

Can't see it happening tbh, they tried before if my mind is correct? If not well I would say 90% it wont happen but you know what they are like.. They want it they'll get it eventually...
