Easy Cliff, the steerin damper was also fitted to gt's and the racks are no different across the rang, just the rose jointed steering arms

Ye but i still need one.. I dont have a g40 / or gt rack... and theres no hope of picking one up in ireland... Do you mean the track control arms or the arms from the rack are rose jointed?

the steering arms (upper) which connect the struts to the rack are rose-jointed on the inner.

the actual steering rack is the same on mk2/3 etc, the only thing you would need to change to fit the damper, is the knuckle that fits on the end of the steering rack, which gives the mounting point for both steering arms and the damper

Ye... I stand under you alright now thanks.. I knew the rack was the same alright... But I do still need one... My mk2 one if knackered plus I need the knuckle, damper and two steering arms (upper) joining the rack to struts.

Maybe Ill use the new standard steering arms I have and just make some poly bushes from nylon or something to tighten it up... then all i need is full rack and damper..
