Haha. its easy do able, but it is a little much, no tyre stick was used, which IMO didnt help..

185/45s should be fine, and the nankang ns-2's stretch nice too.

Yeah 185/45's will be fine.

Wheels didn't come with tyres, i bought them separately. I had to wait 4 weeks for the wheels to come into the country from the US :(

Thats a shitter man! Luckily i ordered from the UK company whilst the container was on the way and there were a few unsold sets on there :) Only Polo to have them on i believe same as the grid v's?

The plan of how it'll look when finished in my head has changed. I'm tempted to rip it apart and start again, not a happy bunny with it at the moment.

Had a massive set back with the car, it needs to be repainted, which is a massive inconvenience and a mega fucking pain in the arse, so I'm not pleased and i've pretty much fallen out of love with it. When it does get done, it'll come out better than before, over fenders will be fucking off as will the vents in the bonnet and possibly door handles, time to go all out i think!

I picked up an ibiza cupra interior the other day, full fronts rears and all door cards, that will now be forsale, as will my tt seats, my mtx's as i won't need them anymore, PM if you're interested.

I wanted the vents gone originally and i've never been that keen on the overfenders, they could work.. but 50mm all round won't and i can't find ANY 25-30mm ones. Paint has a massload of imperfections in:

Door wasn't hung properly so the top corner has taken paint off of the doorshut/rear quarter.

Passenger doorshut was all scratched up when the door was hung as the check strap wasn't pushed in the door properly.

Bonnet has a line of high build primer on.

Both mirrors haven't been painted properly, the sides of them and the part where they turn are still the original colour.

Front bumper had something splashed on it and its taken paint off in the middle of the recess.

Drivers door doesn't lock from the outside as the barrel has some how 'fucked?!' itself.

Both doors and shut exits you can feel where its been softedged, its all ridged and shit.

Top of boot shut is just over spray.

Boot has a pin prick hole in it where you can see high build primer.

Front bumper has an unlevel paint ridge in the extension and a patch of high build primer on it.

Just genuinely not a happy bunny... It'll be going elsewhere to be redone.

And for everyone who knows the guy that painted it(which a few do), don't run your mouths, i hate shit stirer's

Also didnt you do all the prep work outside with it left to the elements so rain etc which means in the end the finish would never of been perfect anyway?

+1 any filler left bare wouldve absorbed any water etc...even primers not fully waterproof.

also it sounds like your doing a total 180 on the plans, guess it wont be long before we have another generic looking polo....was really hoping for something special from you and your plans sounded awesome, hope you get it all sorted and get a nice car

lol, no. i don't want people to go and stir shit - theres a difference.

Everybit of filler was stripped off and everything was back to bare metal when it got to the bodyshop, all prep that i did there was done inside, it was only ever rolled outside to move cars about. all of the fuck ups are due to the painter, not myself unfortunately, i'd have no problem admitting it if they were.

@seanvw, it'll never be another generic polo, I'm not cool enough for that, it'll still be different and a shit load wider than most other polos.

It's also been painted since mid September, it was flatted beginning of October and still hasnt been polished - I'm no expert by anymeans, but even i know that, thats gonna be a nice person to polish back up. just generally not happy with it, it'll be going to someone who has a massively good reputation in the car 'scene' world, not stevie wonder this time!

wow my friend . sounds like the brother just fucked it totally . i had the same problems when i had my mk2 golf sprayed , i sent it back 6 times before it was some where near what i wanted lol . hope the new plan comes of for your car bud and ill keep watching it . i want to c them wide ass black rims you got on the car but a full shot of the car lol . LOVE the wheels,erm I agree with your change of direction, it just doesnt quite work for me. I'd concentrate on utilising your bags. get the thing sat perfectly on those wheels, the rest will all slot into place then :)

Yeah - front's on the shaft, its where we cut two inches out of the arches for the fenders, needs notching so bad, gonna do it when the engine comes out - rear is booked in with rayvern to be refurbed and shortened by two inches :) everything bar the colour is changing! Starting to collect bits again already, it's going to go back to being multicoloured for a small while! Excited, although i don't know why i should be, i could finish it and ignore the imperfections, but I'm too much of a perfectionist todo that - it may happen anyway and then change later in the year (2012) just waiting on a quote of what i want done.
