Would you stop?

Featured Replies

I read quite a few forums and I saw a thread on one where a guy driving a van at night saw somebody laying in the road, he stopped to see if he could help and then got jumped by two other guys. His van was stolen and he got beat up.

Another person on the forum said that a few years ago they saw a girl standing on the side of the road who looked in a right state like she`d been attacked, they slowed down but then two lads were seen behind her hiding in a hedge so they carried on driving.

I would have stopped in the past but after reading the above it`s highly unlikely I would ever stop now. Just wondered what you would do in that situation? Imagine if you did`nt stop then it turned out it was a genuine accident

Lock the doors, and stop? Just to see if anything happens

depends if you are that guy or not?

Me I would always stop. Rescue the girl, beat up the bad guys. But I am a hero, are you?

Thumbs up ^

Yeah, I'd stop, but you have to think of your own safety. If someone's standing up, you can lock your doors, pull up and talk to them thorugh the window. If someone's on the road and you don't feel safe, you can block the road with your vehicle so no one runs over them and phone an ambulance.

I stopped for some old boy who was parked up on a roundabout in Birmingham at 4am totally lost the other night. I sorted his satnav out for him and pointed him on his way.

But I pulled in past his car so I could have a good look round first on my mirrors, took the keys out with me and had a nice big heavy pair of tin snips that I use at work tucked in the leg pocket on my combats.

TBH though, if someone nicked my van, they'd be doing me a favour anyway.

Vulnerable girl looking scared and alone in a layby on a dark road? Hell yeah I'd stop :unibrow:

I've stopped in the past to a woman broken down - well crashed and has thier front wheels all mashed - just to make sure everyone was alright

HAHA!

Guy :lol:8-)

I'd do the same as steve, make sure your safe. Either buy checking the situation out first and/or talking out of your window, that or get out with a nice weapon of some sort.

I always have a wheel brace next to the hand brake, has paid very useful.

Jackpot.

Yeah i reckon I'd stop......start regulatin on them fools yo

i always stop. well actually i drive past to have a good nose, then turn round and go back if it looks genuine. wont get out of my car straight away. do as yeti suggests and wind the window down.

most odd one i stopped for was a guy who had spun out on a bend. another guy pulled up to see if he could help, then decided that he should probably go because he thought he might be over the drink drive limit. crazy fool!

Me and my mum stopped for someone not long ago. Turned out to be a fairly well known (in my area) drug user. She's ran out of fuel a lot of times, probably because she spends her money on drugs.

Yeah, you stop at someone in the road covered in blood.

"Lets grab this crowbar and hope the police turn up to find the attacker." :wasted:

haha!

Bonus! a desperate druggy will do some nasty shit for very little outlay. I hope you and your mum took full advantage of the situation Matt?

No because she has no money . That and her son has assaulted me at least twice in the past.

If I was alone then I'd stop for no-one  Especially at night...

There is a small baseball bat thing in the door compartment, can never be too safe. Need more there's the wheel brace in the recovery compartment under the rear seat :)

All the more reason to tag team the shit out of that old slag and post the video on the internet for her son (and every one else) to see. if she's too rough to fuck, chuck money at her to suck a dog off or some thing. Karma offered you a way of revenge there matty boy, and you spat in its face, these opportunities are there to be grabbed with both hands.

But that would be lowering myself to her sons level 8-)

"Sorry, can you just wait a second while I get the wheel brace from under my rear seat?!"..

So, you'd be bent over in the back trying to find this wheel brace while a murderer kills you?.. :p

I'd hit her and get at least 10 points

Unless he filmed your mum sucking off a Labrador I don't think it would Matt

i think most people would say they'll stop and be the hero, but when it comes to it, people surprise themselves.

i'd like to think i'd stop.

i was with my dad a few weeks ago at midnight and we got out the car at home and heard some girl screaming down the road, so we went to check it out. turned out it was just a silly bint being bratty cos she didn't want to go to her boyfriend's house. My dad was like "well go somewhere else then" and she was like "well, my stuff's at his house" =P

That just made me crack so much

Either way I don't have any desire to give even 0.000001% of my attention to them.
