Just been reading up on the MOT law and that

I have a polo 9n - although one headlight it apears to have main and smaller sidelights

I have yellow surrounds that emit yellow light

But my dipped beam is white

:

Front position lamps must show a

steady white light and be visible

from a reasonable distance.

Lamps may alternatively emit

yellow light, but only if

incorporated in a headlamp which

emits yellow light.

Am i being dumb? I'm getting confused with what it means by "incorporated" into the lamp

- I'm about to paint the bulbs inside over yellow

Question is really will the police fist me if i have yellow sidelights and white dipped?

Still trying to make up my mind if i like it or not?

Hopfully coilovers will be in my possession shortly so modding can start to begin really

I used to have amber sidelight bulbs in my headlights,and a copper asked why i had candles in my headlights - i said they were legal,so he let me off with a chuckle.

I didn't mind the dig,because i didn't actually know if they were legal or not. And still dont.

You have the wrong section, Front position lamps are the small ones that are on all the time also known as Day running lights.

Unless they have changed the wording you could have a side light of any colour as long as they were working.

Headlights must be yellow or white (Both sides must emit the same colour shade).
