I have been offered a set of Alfa Romeo wheels, they are 4x98 so I would need wobble bolts. I am a bit concerned as someone said I need to drill

the alloys/elongate the stud hole so that the bolts work. Has anyone used them before, I would appreciate comments.

Yes they are safe to use.

They wouldn't be TUV approved otherwise.

Wobble bolts... How about offset of 4x98 (car) with 4x100 wheels - would the wobble bolts work the same?

I'm pretty sure no drilling required with wobble bolts because they have a collar that allows slight play to adjust to the offset?

With the drilling, it depends how big the hole is i guess.

I had to drill my old wheels to get them to go, as there simply wasnt the play in the hole.

I'm runnign alfa wheels on my jetta, for some reason on the fronts i can only get 3 studs in.

The centre hole MUST be 57.1mm or you must have the spigot ring to adapt it,otherwise the wheel wont be dead-centred and the car will be in a dangerous condition.

I realise they are TUV approved as the tuning firms would not sell them, however I am just unsure. Effel surely 3 studs only is dangerous and Shaw

thanks for the heads up. I am would get spigot rings but it was how much play I would have in the stud holes
