Some of the shit in the picture isn't permanent but I can't be arsed explaining what is and what isn't. I'm sure nobody gives a fuck anyway

In case some of you knobheads didn't see my E38 thread I randomly got hold of an MX5 in exchange for my old custom mk1 bits :retard::lol:

Engine and running gear are going in my mk1  The rest of the MX5 will be getting abused and punished for being Jap crap :p

May as well be a full blown idiot rather than a half arsed idiot :thankyouSquire:

I had a crazy idea about chopping the body off another loon, and putting it on top an mx-5 floor, doubt its actually possible like but throwin it out there... :ninja:

Hope your well, keep up the work dude. Amazeballzzz

You guys are legends, thanks for the compliments!

I drew up a CAD file for some hub stands for the MX5, so that I have a way of holding the hubs in the right positions so nothing goes skewiff. I'll bolt em to the hubs, then weld them to a frame which will hold them all in the right place.

Had a slit cut into the bottom of them so that I can measure the wheelbase once I've lengthened it to fit the Golf.

looking forward to seeing where this goes now, you mentalist :-p

Very true. I need to get hold of some for mine, off to edition i go!

Might pop down the safs unit this weekend if i get the gearbox done and if your about? was gna come say hi :-)

I'm not one to tread on other peoples toes in the VW scene in terms of business, I'd rather innovate my own ideas and market them. Shame not everyones like that though  I don't mind getting some cut for you as a one off though fella! Only charge you what it costs me which is a hell of a lot less than what people sell them for

I will be in the area this weekend but I'll be celebrating paddy's day for a lot of it, maybe you and Saf etc should join us anyway! 8-)

Small amount of progress to keep my enthusiasm up! My attention and funds are currently concentrated on getting my daily on the road so progress has been very slow. But I just fancied a bit of progress for this car so it doesn't slowly slip away.

Finished the front of the sills, shifted the axle stands and cut out the rest of the floorpan/wishbone mounts/part of the bulkhead. Gotta remove the steering column before I cut any more out.

Anyone want a set o raised mk1 wishbone mounts?

After the work done tonight I realised how quickly I could get this car done if I didn't have other poop to do, so I can't wait to get back into it

naughty. muchos love for this car

Unfortunately not dude, been trying to get my blue mk1 on the road, amongst making a batch of mk1 fuel filler necks, and doing other peoples bits and bobs...

Once I've got the blue mk1 out of the way, things can progress :tear:

Have you set off yet?
