I do have updates! I just thought a restoration of a standard mk1 Golf GTI wouldn't be of much interest on here!

Been prepping the bay ready for paint and the new engine, digging away all the cracked seam sealer from the panel joins, sanding away any surface rust and re-coating;

Had to cut out the wiper linkage support to get to the rust underneath it

Rust gone, support welded back in

Epoxy

Same done with rest of bay, now ready for 2K primer

Yes Arun looking good and are those fibreglass berg arches mate cant wait to see you get back on the white one

p.s. I need to have that K03 off you sometime soon hopefully you still have it as I want to use the exhaust housing off it to build up my K03s and keep the rest as spares

Congratulations!! this has to be my all time fave build thread! its gone from all out pikey to dam right insane engineering feats!! lol some very impressive work gone on here keep it up, lookin forward to how things progress
