well she is finished. rebuild is complete just in time for the rally 2moro. havnt been doing updates as basically i have worked thru the night and day for the last 2 days here are the pics.

WOW! that was quick! Like it now its all stickered up

So we got it done on time and did the rally untill with two stages to go the inner cv joint gave up. so that was that. a dissapointing end to a good day.

she had just landed under braking so may have been a lock up but also she does puff some smoke from time to time.

Well since my last post I've completed 3 rallies Picking up 2 1st positions in the up to 1600cc class and 2 maximum points scores which was enough for me to WIN the Welsh Tarmac Championship in Class 2 (up to 1600cc) and Also 10th overall against the bigger cars such as high spec imprezas and evos.

So We now Have a Polo as a Welsh Rally Championship winning Car.

Too cool for school this thing.

Again I've been slack in keeping this updated. we are 3 rounds into the Welsh Tarmac championship of 2013 and I'm leading by 7 points. its very close and have 2 very quick cars against me with more power than I have so to keep my championship hopes alive I'm having a new engine built. the spec is:

balanced 1.6 gti (avy) bottom end.

1.4 afh head been ported and flowed to the same (well slihtly better) than the polo S1600

280 deg schirck cams

dblias vernier pulleys

polo s1600 exhaust manifold.

running on bogg bross gsxr 600 carbs and polo mk2 ignition system. this will be upgraded to 0mex 600 managment and throttle boddies in the next month or 2 butthe engine build has taken all the spare cash at the mo.

so watch this space for updates. :-)
