G40 Calipers

Featured Replies

I bought some VWII calipers from eBay...think they are replica parts but they work nicely enough, I fitted EBC YellowStuff pads

Question is, are there supposed to be those metal clips for the pads? None were supplied with the pads...there were definitely some on the old GT calipers

I don't think this is the knocking sound I'm getting currently but would be nice to know if I should have some and if so, where can I get some? I've had a look on GSF and ECP websites without much luck of knowing if they do or what the part might be called

Any ideas?

they are anti-rattle clips. I'd have thought you could just use the ones off the old GT calipers if you still have them. Otherwise, I thought GSF sold them if you go in and ask them.

the old ones weren't exactly taken off with care - would have thought they wouldn't fit either due to the width of the disk and therefore width of pads across the caliper

I'll give gsf a shout n see what can be done cheers :)

At least I know the right name now :)

They usually come with replacement pads, ferrodo do them for sure!

I'm currently running without them and don't get any problems.
