or europl8 :) they're the only 2 uk legal places in the uk

Why do you need to send documentation off to buy a set of pressed plates? Might be a silly question but makes no sense to me tbh

because they're legal and thats what the procedure is for getting number plates, for issues such and ringing cars etc

Yeah they need the documentation to follow procedure...when I was speaking to the woman who runs dubmeister, she said she regularly gets idiots who send in their documentation in 2nd class envelopes that are barely closed lol...if you send them off, send them off as insured / recorded..you'l get them back along with the plates in an insured and sealed envelope.

i got some plates at a show, and i believe 2 the said companies were doing them without documents

Yeah i've heard of that, at their shops they legally have to...apparently it's a thing that came in late last year / early this year? lol

i got mine of ebay from a user called paulroad123 and they are legal plates as far as i am aware

To get around the new thing that came in :

There "Show plates" but meet the legal requirement (without docs)

Thats how they get around that law - I got standard "show" plates printed that meet all uk standards £4 a pop insted of halfords 15 - 20 quid

What documents have people sent to dubmiester to get there plates'?

What documents have people sent to dubmiester to get there plates'?

go to their site and check :-\

The reason for giving registration documents is simply to prove you own the car. Or else it would be possible to ride about with someone elses registration. The plates must also have the name/post code of the shop where they were bought, so any dodgy dealings can be traced back to them. Without that postcode your plates are illegal and your liable for it. Do these cheap plate companies have this info on?
