subframes to fit Porsche seats into polo mk1,2,3

Featured Replies

just seeing if there is any interest in these as i am currently having some made by a friend so we do not ruin the original seat mounts in the car in case the originals ever need to be put back in!

they are being designed to use the original porsche seat runners, so this means retaining any height adjustment etc

they will mearly bolt into the car through the floor using high tensile bolts and then the same again to fasten the seat to the frame

the whole frame will be made from 1" square tube mild steel so not super light but nice and strong, with flat bar on the bottom to spread the load on the floor pan (you will understand when i upload pictures later)

they would be supplied unpainted

we are just finishing mine off today, so depending how successful they are we will be able to offer these made to order

i would imagine they will be around the £150 mark as there is a fair bit of fabrication involved, but they are very strong and sturdy!

let me know who is interested and i will take it further

Depends on the floor pan layout compared to mk1,2,3's, i couldnt guarentee them fitting but if i show you pictures you can check out your layout and make a judgement for yourself

The older polos have dIfferent runners (think there thinner) than the 6n. But can you make some to fit my 6n?

Without having the car there to refer too i would say no to be honest as it would be mostly guess work...
