Fiat 500 that I have got currently has 5" wide steelies on it et35, i've found some alloys which are 16x6j with et45, however I cant figure out whether they will stick out more or sit further in the wheel arch? and since theres a difference of 10 is it classed in mm's, ie stick out an extra 10mm?

any help would be useful sorry its not vw related

If they were both 5j then you would be right but they are not.

Inner Clearance = 23mm LESS

Outer = EXTEND an extra 3mm
