I've decided that as my gearbox is currently being changed i may as well use this opportunity to remove the helper springs from my coilovers. I'm thinking of doing this as there currently maxed out and have no rebound whatsoever. But i'm a little concerned about the ride quality. Anyone taken there's out and does it improve the ride as against maxed out coilies?

Any advise appreciated!

remove the helper and raise it up the threads, or remove and lower completely???

remove the helper and raise it up some threads. It can't be any worse than being maxed out can it??? TBH it's bouncy as hell at the minute but just thought it might make the shocks last longer.

The helper is only there to keep the main spring seated when the main spring is fully relaxed and the shocker has extended too far. How can it make a difference to the ride quality?

I've got the Helpers and Bumpstops out on my 6n and the coilovers wound right down (literally 2threads left on front) - the ride is the same as it was before, not difference at all.

I was wary of doing it because of the ride but its fine on mine :)

You will need a Chassis Notch though or your driveshaft will just be resting on the chassis.

cheers for all the comments guys. I didn't do it in the end and everythings all bolted back in now so not going to make and effort to do it!!! I'm quite happy with how low the car is but just thought it might make it a bit less bouncy.
