I'm back with a Golf, sold my Oaky when i bought my Corrado VR6, petrol was expensive so bought a Mk3 Polo GT for a daily and now i have a new Golf as it was local and a nice price haha. Not sure what the long term plans are other then keeping it original'ish (Its a word). But i am sorting out a new container for my parts collection so the garage can be used by this beast.

Paint is cack on the bonnet so i will get that sprayed, need to have a hole welded on the rear under the bumper and then diy spray under both bumpers, bottom of drivers door and under the windscreen. I will refurb the wheels as thats my thing as well.

And a minor issue of MOT

So i lasted all of 3mths max without a Mk2 Golf 16v, the withdrawn symptoms are strong!

Cheers! It probably/shouldnt get any worse condition as once i sort out a new place for my parts i can sling this in the garage, I'm not expecting to drive it till next year

My mate who works at a garage has bee pestering me for a bit to MOT this car for a giggle - We knew it was going to fail.

Basically a bit of welding is needed:

- Nearside: Front subframe mounting

Front ARB mounting

Rear suspension mounting

- Offside: Rear shock absorber mounting

Other stuff:

- Both front CV gaiters

- 1 front wheel bearing

- Brake pipe (front to rear)

Still it was a scrap value 16v.

Looks like a good start, its very nice :)
