A slow and low Polo Project

Featured Replies

Hello! Joined your forum to try an get a bit of help, advice an inspiration

Sold my VW T4 camper project a few weeks ago and decided to tart my polo up a little while looking for another van.

Its the third polo Iv owned but never had a go at altering any of their looks before.

Here are a few before and after pics (so far...........)

Is your car lowered or does it just look it due to the wheels?

I wish  I forgot to say I had AP coilovers put on and also changed the rear lights to the polo model's above. Not to make the car look newer, only reason is that I prefer em

Wheel colour suits 8-)

What size are the wheels

Loving the progress so far! That grille is made by ABT but it's so rare! You might be able to find one on ebay but I doubt it to be honest! They are like gold dust! Keep up the good work :D

I looooooooove white audi wheels

Did these wheels go straight on? any spacers needed and was the stud pattern the same?

Cheers for all the comments  I just moved to Cornwall and she seems to turn a few heads.....

Thanks VWKing for the advice, trust me to want a rare grill!!

The comps are 17" and went straight on using the original bolts. No spacers and the stud pattern is 5x100

The TT Comps suit the 9n down to a tee. Nice choice in wheel dude. But IMO defo get them polished.

And you telling me youve got coilovers on the car and you haven't lowered it!!! :o

If thats the case get cranking and get that baby closer to the tarmac!

Yeah she's been lowered a fair bit

There's a bit left in her still. Gravity says yes, my brain & speed bumps say no!

A friend of ours had hers polished and it really really suited her black polo but not so sure about the blue/polished contrast. One to think about tho!

Yummy white comps!

Got to admit when I first saw the car in that blue, I thought nice car but not the best colour :? HOWEVER, those white wheels make it pop - it looks absolutely right, I wouldn't change a thing. Regarding ride height getting the balance right is the best option rather than trying to achieve an impractical extreme not to mention potentially damaging your pride & joy! Spot on :-)

Good old little Graham! Iv known him a while now due to having a T4 before and us both being in a small dub group called 'The Rusty Hookers Dub Club':lol:

I moved to Hayle 3 months ago and love it

Iv done nothing to the car recently apart from inform my insurers of my changes (a few months late) and Endsleigh wouldn't continue to insure me with the modicfications! I moved back to Adrian Flux instead

Hi, polo looks great!

was just wondering, do the mk7 polo rear lights just fit straight in, and plug straight in or do you have to do any re-wiring?
