Will do until i get around to visiting a carpet shop and getting a piece that's big enough and a better colour.

Also fitted the headunit from the coupe today :( Sad because i didn't wanna steal it from the other car but meh

JBL front speakers fitted, gotta sort the wiring for the rears tomorrow ready for when i buy some :)

Also sorted the seats, as they didnt have any of the plastic runner things and had various springs and bolts missing lol. Again stolen from the coupe :(

Andy, Its 80mm springs, lowering topcaps and 2 coils missing off each side.

After doing some more faffing today and sorting the aerial out for the stereo i thought id charge the battery a bit.

Left it running for a while, then heard a hissing kinda sound, thought 'wtf' walked round the front and was greeted by oil spraying out of the grill

Oil filter i think, was rusty on the end, pressure must have gotten to it. Possibly something else but cant see as everything is plastered in oil.

Could be the sump gasket maybe? Nothing else down there really.

Made me laugh anyway, how random it was. Lucky it did it now rather than on the way to the MOT station. If it'd have done it whilst driving id have probably ended up with a seized engine.

And the standard weekend....

Welded the backbox today as the gum was shit and had blown through already.

Tell everyone how your garden is cursed!! It broke my Car ffs!!

lol it must be

Manyer cars have gone to there death on that front lawn

Got bored and thought id attack the bodged up silicone that someone had put around the rear screen, must have been leaking or something. They made a right mess of it though.

Got to the bottom and hit a bit of filler, decided the best option was to attack the filler even more. I then discovered this.... Next to the where the filler was

Too close to the glass to weld really, high risk of it cracking from the heat. So, Chemical metal will have to come out tomorrow. Not ideal but its a damn sight better than normal body filler ffs.

I do hate shitty bodges like this lol, filler coupled with sealant have made this worse i reckon. If it was done properly the 1st time around i wouldnt be having this problem now.

Good old Brettle is gunna re-seal it all with black sealant for me (as he says hes a don with sealer) as it will look better than clear/rusty/milky/mouldy stuff on there atm.

so much for just a run around then aye toby

Typical breadvan rusting place!

Yup, and its fucking rained all day today :@

Managed to get it washed and dried and a cover over it just before it went dark/started raining again.

Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and i can get that hole sorted and get the bits of rust etc around the window primed.

Then Tuesday i can hopefully paint said primed bits

Then possibly Wednesday get it sealed up.

Although i may cheat, with a heatgun, prime and Paint tomorrow if the weather is gooood

You welding the hole up then dude?

Nahh, its too close to glass to weld it. Read up somewhere, I have said

Pfft , get it welded you fag.

  • Author

Id rather not risk breaking the glass, thanks.

Chemical metal dude, its better than body filler and will do the job good enough for me. Not asif its the satin one, no corners cut there. Everything got welded on that boot.

Why are you fannying around with this boot when I'm bringing another over soon?

I've got a spare capri green boot!........ for a coupe :) lol

I've Bretts welder in the garage... lol

This now runs again, swapped oil filter, topped it up with oil and all is good.

Was a little scared at 1st as it was struggling, asif it was on the verge of seizing. But was ok after a few seconds once the oil was pumping around a bit.
