Its on bumpstops, what more can i do? And before you say cut them in half (which i would have done had i have realised they were going to raise the car when i fitted them lol) I'm not faffing around with it now, i cant be fucked.

It also has rather massive balloon tyres. Until the pls are on I'm not wasting money on smaller tyres just so its lower for the time being.

I'm getting coilovers for it, trust me ill be running it as low as i possibly can.

Now will you please stop posting bollocks in my thread? thankyouplease.

This, is going to be no easy task. Probably one of the most difficult jobs I've ever attempted. But for once, even i have faith in myself that i can pull it off haha.

It has gone stupidly windy, id forgotten to grab pictures earlier so went n got a few ones quick, but most are blurry cause i honestly couldn't stand still because of the wind

How will i make it fit? Come back to me in a week

1st job i think is to do away with the original headlining in the breadvan. I reckon I'm gunna get some suede like material and make a custom one. Shouldnt be too dificult with the sunroof being there, there wont be much area for it to sag due to not being held up with the original bars n shizz. Also means i can just cut around the edges instead of taking all the windows out n shit twice lol. Just do it once when fitting the new one.

The rips, I'm going to just patch over them i think. I'm not that bothered how mint it looks, just that I'll have a fucking awesome sunroof in a MK3 is good enough for me. Max gave me a kinda good idea for it anyways :ninja:

The curve it has that the breadvan roof doesnt... Also come back to me

I'm hoping, that there's enough flex in the breadvan roof to just be able to make it go to the shape of the sunroof. But I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it

Think i need to rent another garage whilst i do this

Any hints or ideas, get throwing them at me.

What more can you do? Where do we start!

Fucking go on then?

I fitted bumpstops because the top of the strut (the big fat bolt thing that holds the shock in place) was hitting the topmounts. It has lowering topmounts too.....

Without serious modification it couldnt possibly go any lower. That's it, that's physically as low as a MK3 polo can go without modyfing things to the extreme.

OR GETTING COILOVERS

Which is something you seem to be missing, why would i do anything more with the shocks and springs kit when i can just go crazy when i have coilovers?

Your logic is fucked

As for wasting money, its not wasting it IMO

Money you enjoy wasting, is not money wasted ;)

I'm not sure yet tbh.

Shouldnt need much as its that big its pretty much right on the edge lol.

I'm gunna get an assortment of random pieces of metal n stuff before i start cutting.

As tbh theres no way of telling what the roof will do until it has a big gaping hole in the middle of it lol.

Getting some small bits of box section or L shaped bits and tacking them to the roof/edges is probably all it will need.

Its mounting the roof thats dificult because it doest just bolt through the roof panel. 6N roof has a double skin that it bolts to.

Nothing stopping me from welding the frame in instead of bolting it in.

I'm not bothered about not being able to get it back out again lol. then the sunroof will just bolt into the frame.

Now this will be interesting. Looks like one of those jobs youve gotta get right first time. Cutting into the roof would be scary

il help you put that roof in. itl be a right laff

probably best cutting the roof smaller then the sunroof and fettling the rest with a grinder, probably the safest way

Toby get the roof off a scrap square back to practice on, as said this is a job that needs doing right first time but your not going to be 100% sure how you can fit it until you have cut the hole. At least if you cut a hole in a scrap roof you will be able to figure out how it will fit and you won't have the worry of a massive hole in your dailys roof and no way to fill it

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail

Midlanders do open air? I'd be up for that
