Yeah, defo the plan to cut smaller then faff lol

And lol Kieran, i can see it causing me some stress and anger  Luckily i have some self control though, unlike others that like to punch n kick their cars :ninja: haha

But my god will it be worth it if i pull it off.

Found somewhere that does replacement canvas, Does cost £213 though.

Might be an option later on in life... but patches will do for now.

I'm swaying more to welding the frame in. Definitely looks to be the easiest way.

Even if the roof looks a bit dodgy from the outside (ripples or whatever) I don't think ill be too bothered.

2 weeks, hmmmm

As much as id love to dive straight in, not that soon i don't think.

Need to get the thing repaired so it doesnt leak before i even consider putting it in. And I'm skint, so cant really get any of the materials n stuff id need.

Also, as I've got shit loads of holiday left to use before March (like 4 weeks lol) I'm probs gunna book a week off to do it. Then I've no need to rush it in like a day.

Cheers mark, what program is that? Its different to etka

Openair.jpg

:unibrow:

That program makes my life so much easier.

Wanna know how much a new one is from VW? Just the cover is £700

Might get the cover for the motor and possibly fit the light from a 6n so that it looks all proper from inside.

Then trim around it.

Got the spoiler for it too, which i forgot to mention.

One thing i do need, is a wiring diagram for the motor.

I've got the switch and both of the connectors, id just need to connect the wires to wherever they go.

Elsawin , ill have a look see what i can find for you over the next couple of days, cheers Mark

Blue one is the best I've found in regards to arches yet, looks awesome!

Other two, I'm unsure about

Whats the actual roof like?

Find out what he wants for it haha. I'll have the lot if the price is right

Blue one is sick, it looks like the top part of a coupe arch blended with the breadvan arch.

Not a fan of the full coupe arch conversion, i think it looks really out of place.

Actually did something to this today

Swapped the black temp sensor over with the one i got with the GT engine. Dashed some rad-weld in along with some anti-freeze and walaaaa

One working temp gauge, one fixed thermo housing leak and one ready for winter coolant system.

Went to Oxford on Saturday and picked this up...

The rips are tiny compared to the ones on the other. So Shall be using that one and just patching them.

the other ideally needs a brand new cover, which is £450 fitted :o

Also got some head off Alex on Saturday, it was ever so joyful ;) haha!

Just the douche forgot to bring the engine stand with him... so no engine building just yet.

Yeah, i feel special. Happy I'm not a country bumpkin.

  • Author

Good for them... Cant say I'm part of that crowd though, as i dont live in Birms

Special. Just like the other 200.000 that live in brum

 was gonna say Tobes is nowhere near Brum and there's a lot more than 200,000 people haha

Never say a Black Country person is a brummie and vice versa, it won't be pretty

Anyways, back on topic, damn Toby and you moan about having no money, just let Kiz do it first and been done with it haha :-D

  • Author

Theres actually a chance, a slim one, but a chance... That this will be in before Kiz does his :o

But only because i dont really give a fuck, and will just cut a hole and weld the shit out of the frame and shove it in LOL

Where as Kiz has to actually do it properly.

Got everything i need now besides a wiring diagram.

Need to find somewhere for the switch too actually.

Good to meet you buddy, and good luck with this. I hope things get better for you aswell, you miserable bastard!
