Progress, turbo mocked up:

I removed the manifold and had a fitting welded on for EGT, and then heat wrapped it, I'd originally planned to ceramic coat it, but at nearly £300 for a manifold and downpipe I decided against it.

Then popped it in:

Got a few more bits to do on the interior, but I made a switch panel for the wideband, nitrous, and bottle heater, and a kill switch- so that looks abit neater now, and put the rollcage padding on:

Cool build Yoof, given me loads of ideas for my track weapon project. Couple off questions though. Firstly are you gonna match the rear diffuser with a front splitter? and secondly what gains are you expecting from the diffuser? I am thinking/planning a front splitter, full flat floor inc side skirts and rear diffuser, aero package.

Power wise I'm hoping for 220-230bhp, depends what boost i decide to run (eventually) currently setup for 18psi, but a quick spring change will see 21psi. Still got the nitrous to put back on too...

I really need to get used to driving it again, not driven a Polo equipt with a plate diff in anger for over 2 years, and now everything's rose-jointed, solid, and adjustable it's going to be an eye opener!

First outing I'm planning for BVF

Pluto- Rear diffuser, 100% untested- I looked into wind tunnel time, circa £800/hr... so I've gone with what felt right, its currently in steel to prove the concept, but will remake it from ally at a later date once I'm happy with performance. Because I'd removed the rear wheel well, the whole rear valance/bumper acts like a parachute, the diffuser was just there to minimise this- I'm not expecting to be an F1 car :-)

Front splitter wise, probably something simple like a Mk2 Golf CL will do me, I want the car to be subtle enough, but still require a second glance

looking sicko as per usual, cant help but think though a bigger throttle will help this. i dont mean 51mm i mean bigger- not a g40 one in any guise. i think i might start looking into this in more detail. do you reckon you could replace the current throttle with a 90degree bend and have a mounting face on that for a 20v item???

Kiz- Thorttle body is big enough I think, the R5 Turbo boys squeeze 300bhp through a tiny carb, shouldn't have any problems at 51mm.
