Been outside for the first time in ages today- going for a custom downpipe and backbox tomorrow at JP Exhaust (who do all our Polo-PP systems).

Not much left to do now, following the exhaust I've got to wire in my Zeitronix wideband, fit driveshafts, and run all the brake lines.

Diffuser still has plenty of clearance on and off trailer (unlike front bumper..)

I ran them in 13's but not really in anger. But I think I still prefer the Toyo's especially for their on road characteristics. Not that its a major point of these type of tyres! :)

Not run them yet- I settled for them as I've read good stuff about grip vs tyre life. After ayear or so on these I might go to slicks...

Got the exhaust done today, 3" downpipe leading to a 2.5" mid section and backbox. Really happy with the quality (as usual for JP) and hopefully it should be under 98dB.

Hi Pete,

All the work bar the fabrication for the cage and top mounts is my own fair hand.

Engine is overbored, accralite pistons to 1341cc and 9.3:1 compression. Any machining work which is required I send out :-)

mate this is crazy, top work, everythings on this car is to the highest quality pal, hats off to you, looking forward to some videos

Andy & Me went to do some shakedown on my car today at Bruntingthorpe- first time the car has been run in 2 years, new suspension, new brakes, new turbo, so needed lots fo setting up, adjusting, and general refinement.

So we fitted our new knock box (replaced stock knock sensor) which Andy found noisy but deffinately required for a stripped out car, and had both my wideband, and our standalone wideband in. Suffice to say, more gauges than anything else!

Anyway, early on it was apparent the car was very sketchy in the wet ( I almost span a few times), so some suspension tweaks, tyre pressure revisions had us alot more stable, few arch modifications and all was well.

Once we were happy with the suspension, moved onto the brakes, did a few laps to bed them in, before some what runs.

So, first v-max run.... 140mph- and my carbon bonnet splits in two and half buggers off into the distance at a rapid pace!!

Who is massively special, but did all the mapping today whilst I was trying to make him sick. :)

Estimate the car at 220bhp (+/- 5bhp) some more refinement to be done over the coming weeks/months, will extract a few more bhp from the package.
