Are they designed to come "on by der own?"...

day ent

The 6N is fitted with dim dip

This means the dipped beam bulbs come on at 1/6 power when you turn the sidelights on with the ignition on. I think it has something to do with stopping people from driving with only the sidelights on, but the regulation was abolished so its no longer a requirement.

If i remember correctly there's a resistor behind the passenger side front indicator in the engine bay you can unplug to disable it.

lmao!!!

Fail

I give up :-p

Improved answer:

I just realised I may have completely missed the point. I assumed the op meant came on on their own, as in without thee headlights too rather than literally coming on automatically. FML

turn de injin of then de go on by der own.

Was I the only one that actually read that like a retard? 8-)

Everyone stop being dicks, that's unfair.

He's asked a question and he wants an answer.

Okay, here's the answer.

They don't come on by their own, they're not a Volvo.

Just leave them on next time you get out the car and then when you get back to it, you'll find them on and you can be happy.

I think what he means is why don't the sidelight bulbs illuminate separately, without illuminating the main beam slightly..?

I'd be interested in an answer to this also as my HID's come on when my sidelights are activated.

Remove the passenger side indicator and below this you will see a yellow plug & socket, just disconnect this and then the main lights will not come on with just the sidelights selected
