hello peeps..

just want to know on my sisters behalf - she has been driving 2 years, in second year she notified insurance company of accident but nothing went ahead and now she has changed insurers for 3rd year but got a letter in the post from previous insurance company stating that she has nil no claims bonus??

i thought that if you had been driving for 2 years you should have 2 years no claims bonus - is this not how it works?

i think i understand that because we called and told them about the accident it counts as a claim and so they took the no claims bonus off !!

Funny if it happens to your boss though, thats how i found out about this..

i had the same problem but if you dont claim on the insurance they cant cancel your no claims bonus. I argued the case for bout 3 weeks and WON! If she`s not claimed they CANT LEGALLY CANCEL IT.

If I were you I'd follow this up mate because I'm pretty sure they can't do that!!!

Fair enough they know there was an accident, but if there was no claim I wouldn't let them take that away!!

I'd end up selling my car and buying a 1.0 Corsa if I let that happen, really rely on my 2yrs NCB to keep my quotes down - I'd be fcked without them!
