Hey guys, just signed up today with my first car and need you guys to help/advise me on what to do with it as I'm a complete beginner with modifying polos.

Model: 1998 6n Polo

Engine: 999c standard. Need ideas on how to clean and what to use on rocket cover etc.

Suspension: Standard at the moment, looking to buy some 40mm lowering springs but need suggestions.

Brakes: Standard

Wheels and tyres: I brought some cheap alloys to use at the moment as the standard pepper pots weren't doing it for me but when I can, I'm going to look to buy a cheap set of ATS cups.

Exterior styling: Fairly standard as I'm lost for ideas on what parts I should add. So if you guys could help, would be great.

Interior styling: Again, standard. Not too worried about interior atm just want it to look good on the outside.

ICE: looking for some good quality door speakers to match my Sony xplod head unit.

Like I said, I'm 17 this is my first car and I want it looking good but on a fairly tightish budget so if you guys with experience can help it would be most appreciated.

suggestions on wheel colour?

And suggestions on grills?

Also need help on what bumpers do chose.

I have some black multispoke style wheels on my mk6 (sort of like mg zr wheels) but tbh anything you like the look of. Best place for bumpers would be either the classifieds on here or ebay or something

Yeah, I love ATS cups but they're too expensive right now.

But for the time being, what colour should I have my wheels? and how should I refurb them?

Yeah I've been looking but can't find any white 16v bumpers.

Cleaning an polishing rocker cover....

sand paper wet start off with somehting like 600 grade paper to get rid of the touch stuff.. then work towards 1200 grade paper once you have all the crap off and the the scratches and marks have gone...

dry.

then use autosol apply leave to dry then buff off then repeat this and it will shine.
