basically looking to find out whos interested in kayaks and canoes and things like that

my boss at work is starting up a new business as a wholesaler and retailer of top brand canoes and kayaks and equiptment

i had a quick word with him about getting maybe a deal for club members on here but it all depends on would there be any interest and wether or not the mods would want this as it looks like in the discount section that its mostly car orientated

but ye if you could register your interest i can try and get more of an idea what he will be willing to work out

My dad is into that and he's just bought a new kayak so I'll be up for it on his behalf.

I rarely use my 13ft fibreglass canoe.

I wish i could, but thanks toy the last government and health'n'safety/compo culture there's almost nowhere left i can use it.

I live near lakes,but cant use them. The only ones i can use require a fee - i have to be virtually supervised,its a fucking joke.

what paddles ??

Well now i have just secured a new pad for myself, and i've moved accross the city to a place on the canal. This means i can now use my canoe everyday, both for exercise and for the tranquility of the Grand Union.

I've already gone along the canal to check the place out, got a few pubs along there, there's even a decent local shop at one point within a reasonable distance. Result.

Only problem is my canoe has a '70s Hot Rod Baja Bug paint job. The glamour of Volcano red glitter is not really my cup of tea but out on the lake that didn't matter. Now it's a pub-crawl vehicle though, it's starting to look a little off key with the kind of narrowboat-life characters i'll be rubbing shoulders with..

So. This is a one man sit-in 13ft canoe/kayak, the bottom half is natural fibreglass which i'm happy with, it's the top which needs painting. The seperation band is naturally black, i don't really wanna paint that. The seat and splash skirt gutter is gloss black painted, that can change but it'd be less hassle to leave it because it's very robust.

I need colour ideas. This isn't a "What colour should i paint my wheels?" post, i'm after fresh ideas. I'm favouring camo, have looked at wrapping, even considered dark brown smoke laquer just to vastly tone down the volcano red glitter paint job it currently has. Remember, this is for a canal, not the olympics!
