The rear fog doesn't use a relay either, but you definitely don't need to add any relays if you fit the wire from the fusebox to the headlight switch and then modify the headlight loom for the fog lights

Got the cambelt done on the Polo today seeing as it got to 100k, not to hard of a job, just abit of a pain taking all the alternator pulley off and stuff.

Before i go into the fogs, big thanks to Nige and Dixy for all the answers to my stupid questions about them. Double thanks to Dixy who sent me the wire for the switch/fusebox for nothing! (it got lost in the post somewhere but thats another issue ) managed to make one up, just with a few more through connectors than id have liked.

Managed to get the wiring for the fogs done, ran out of daylight so couldnt get them fitted.

Gave them abit of yellow tint film for that JDM Yo feel :)

Dropped the fuse box, which was alot harder than i thought it would be.

The wires from the fuse box to the headlight plug are there, but not from the switch down to the fuse box. So pulled the plug for the lights up front and added the new wire.

Added the new switch with two stage pull out, think its off an ibiza as it lights up red.

Then took the head light plug to bits and added the two wires for the fogs, only two cables so not too bad.

Hooked them up to test them out and ta daa!

Still need to fit them in the bumper, but shall save that for another day :)

Spent this morning fitting my fogs, managed to do it without taking the bumper off, but if i was gonna do it again id deffinately take it off.

Only problem was the wires where a tiny bit to short to run them the way i wanted, so i need to lengthen them a bit.

Also managed to get a glovebox lock, so its not held up with a cable tie anymore :)

Also, does anyone know if you can get these from anywhere? its the little cap that goes on top of the float switch on the brake fluid res. I had a look on all the usual places but no joy

Nice one :) err no i dont think so, just used some wet and dry then autosol or whatever its called. It didnt stay shiny for long though, i haven't bothered again haha

Wow. This polo has came along very nicely i must say.

Just makes me want to get a compressor even more now.
