A giant pirate ship with a pirate theme, a lot of pirate costumes and an invasion of the R32 Oc because their pasty is a better quality than ours.

You can have the traditional DIY one but do a trophy for something special, something which has had money spent on it, something which is epicly awesome. Sanjay's is a prime example of this, most other show and shine events he'd have taken something.

You could get Andy to judge it, considering the level of finish on his car I don't think anyone would be willing to argue.

And get random jailbait which is passing the field to come and party, you know, knock things up a notch instead of a bunch of seperate groups sitting about in a field getting wasted, integration and community, getting really really smashed. (with jailbait)

Not too sure on Billing's standing on this, its doubtful they'll let us put lights up around the field due to other people on the site, but surely its easy enough to bring a torch

We could do that, but then I think we'd lose some of the laidback feeling of the Polo Show

Had already thought of a sponsered trophy or two for next year, already in talks with Polodriver.com to sponser one and will look at possibly having the RR guys and/or PP doing the same

I'll see about maybe tweaking it, but as far as I'm aware, pretty much all SnS work this way, whether its judged by a team of judges or self judged (I think self judged is better as its the peoples choice)

We can introduce sponsered trophies like Best engine, Best paint and what not, but inevitably there will be people who enter but miss out, I only got 3 points and I'm not complaining am I? Its about the taking part and showing off your car, plus at the same time giving back to the club, which enables us to provide things like the rolling road and the track day

Poloshow is good as normal day to day polos might get a chance of winning something. If it went to the gay kinda show and shine it would just be things that had lots of money spent on them.

Also, a lot of people wouldn't enter if it went to that, i know i wouldn't bother (if i ever got a car there ). But as it is now, I will just for the fun of it.

Following people's suggestions, we'll see about adding extra trophies and the non polo vote, however I'm less inclined to change the way its run as the majority (myself included) prefer the way its run currently

tbh I like the show and shine as it is.. perhaps we could add a pubilc vote... i.e anyone who is not in the show and shine vote for their favourite.

Not sure that I like the idea of a car winning just because its had a load of money spent on it.. at the end of the day people just voted what car they liked the look of most! :)

If people want a concours event, there are plenty of other shows to cater for that sick level of detail.
