I'm looking forward to the next show, you can polish my wheels this time

Having more traders has always been a point brought up year after year. its good of the PPP boys to turn up and sell stuff otherwise there'd only be the odd people selling 2nd hand parts and thats it.

I'm just stating the amusement at the amount of people you roped in, it was very sparkly.

I volunteered! Always find you notice a car in a lot more detail when cleaning it and with kiz's theres so many little things to notice I was quite happy to spend an hour or so pouring over it

Altering the show and shine voting system is a tricky one.

Ultimately if you're putting the final call in the hands of a few judges, then there's going to be an element of personal taste involved and it's in a small group.

If you extend it to everyone there then it's open to becoming a popularity contest - if you turn up as part of a group, most of whom aren't entering their own cars - then it becomes really easy to throw the results. A bit like those polls you get in school yearbooks where a guy wins the 'best dressed girl' title because everyone voted for him as a laugh.

Self-voted events usually prioritise cars based on taste, as well as quality of work. So people vote for things they like - and that's usually similar to what they drive. Hence, lots of subtly styled cars in the show and shine, so the top five was mostly subtly styled stuff too.

So what I'm saying is, leave it as it is. There's no particular way to make it 100% infallible. Any way you do it, you can argue that it's unfair.

Anyway, I'm absolutely over the moon that I came away with a trophy against some very strong competition. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, it really means a lot, I wasn't expecting it! :)

I think most people were hung over to be honest but I think everyone was welcoming....I'm guessing you were the lass with the mk4 loon that was harrassing the lad with the red one??? if so you had me in stitches =D hahahaha

also youve got to remember that this was the "polo show" not a vw show so there wont be as much and it wont be as big as some of the other shows as were only catering to one type of car unlike the other shows.

I think trader stands will always be awkward as big companys will realise there just wont be the money in spending a weekend...though maybe approaching cleaning companys may be an idea as everyone always seems to want to buy cleaning stuff and maybe our own traders could set up shop for the weekend =D

Yes I am the mad lass with the loon and it's a mk4 facelift lol

Err ok why did I have you in stitches? Was you one of the 3 lads that tried to blag me about bonnet bras? Lol

I didn't really know what the polo show was about but the next time I will have to camp

If you want I can find out the name of a great guy who dose cleaning products that would do your show :)

Tug of war was teams of 5 and it was so much fun

hahaha no you turned around to another loon drivers girlfriend and says "I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend or anything"......the total honesty in it had me in stitches =D

well id love to say go ahead and find out details for next years show, but I've been kicked off of the moderating team for "not fitting in", so no idea what they will want for next year as our ideas seem to differ lol
