2006 Polo GTI Black remapped and lots spent

Featured Replies

Re-priced the car to sell!

The reason for selling this is because i've decided a change in careers and i am working in london so unfortunately do not need it anymore. The car was used by me and the previous owner mainly for commuting so nearly most of it's life it's been on the motorway. This is also one of the reasons for the remap as he wanted a bit better mpg and on an average run at motorway speeds i averaged 45mpg. Another reason was because it makes the car VERY nippy!

Spec;

VW Polo GTI 2006

Black

3 door

Manual

66,000 miles

Air con

Traction control

Full service history

1 Year MOT

Taxed until november

Fully Hpi clear

I have recently spent a lot of money on the car including

4 new continental contact sport 2

New front Discs drilled and grooved

New Ebc green stuff pads all round

New front and back bush's replaced

Top Mounts

Oil change and filter

Air con re-gassed (despite needing it)

New air filter

Coolant changed

I'm sure theirs plenty more i've done but at the moment cannot remember.

Bad Points;

Their is a dent in the drivers side rear quarter which is about 2 inches big in size which i presume is a trolley dent.

The drivers seat mechanism that allows the seat to open to let passengers in has stopped working but will try and fix it before sale.

2 of the alloys have curbing and also the odd stone chip on the car.

I hope i have been honest with the bad points and i have reflected this in the price.

The previous owner had the car remapped by a mobile mapper who had been recommended as he had done a few mates car which showed good results. Also it has a straight through exhaust, standard exhaust with a bolt in and out cat which is handy for MOT time. Performance wise it is a sleeper and has lots of torque so perfect for the overtakes but can be very tame as well.

I'm looking for £6500 ono now £5500 priced to go!!!

Anybody who wants to view the car is welcome but if you have no insurance that covers you then you cannot drive it but i will be happy to take you out.

Car is located in Amersham, south buckinghamshire.

Any serious offers please PM me! and any more info or pics please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks, Olie

If i remember rightly it was about £250-300, it was actually the previous owner who had it done but i knew him and driving the car before and after there is quite a bit of difference. Definatley worth the money!

Ooh fair enough, do you know how much more bhp you got? Thinking of getting my 6n2 done because I got in 75bhp

Got around 50 bhp more but this is because it has a turbo. With the 6n2 its non turbo so gains with be very minor. I had a 6n2 gti before and was toying with idea of a remap but its not worth it because you'll only get a few bhp extra and i doubt you'll notice t much.
