Have you unplugged any oil breathers headed into the airbox?

Regarding booking it in somewhere for repair, to travel to there for repair. Thats a load of shit waiting to be exploited! Just give them my number and say your travelling to your local "trusted" mechanic, who happens to be in Norfolk. my workshop is the home of 1272cc polo's.

Have you removed the crankcase breather hose to air intake?

Did you change the lambda sensor?

I reckon MOT tester just hates your car/needs new equipment. You should take it elsewhere just to eliminate the garage/equipment being a factor. See if you can get it on someone elses equipment for a look.

G60 rado i had for a while pissed the emmisions test with a fairly modded engine spec and i expected that to struggle. That was pre K reg.

Lambda sensors done, the emissions have gone from over 9% to 5%, I need to find 2% from somewhere.

Got a new air filter today as it was pretty clogged, cleaned out the whole air intake system in the process and checked the operation of the AFM.

Going to check the readout from the lambda tomorrow to make sure the mixture adjustment on the afm is bang on.

The MOT tester I went to today was a different one to the first one, got recommended by another VW enthusiast to go there, and the old boy there was absolutely sound, we tried getting it down having a little fiddle but couldn't get it down enough.

Ran some injector cleaner through it too, I'm completely against additives but I'm clutching at straws here

Oh yeah, gonna give it an Italian tune up on the way to the re-test too

When I get it back to Norwich, full suspension restoration with polybushes all round. it feels like the steering is not connected to the front wheels haha
