Well I guess updates are due. I got a new job, start on the 20th next month so just doing general bits on this to make sure it's 100% for whoever buys it.

Just spent a small fortune on machine polishing bits to correct the paintwork imperfections:

Also I've got hold of lower offset Mattigs for the back as I don't like the idea of running spacers (anyone want them? 25mm hubcentric £35, bring the rears level with the front on a coupe) so now it has ET20 up front and ET13 out back, with virtually brand new Dunlop sp 195/45/13's.

I feel this is gonna be a Marmite moment, I've not really decided whether I like them or not yet, they do look a lot better in person though! Probably end up going back Silver soon.

Took me a whole week of evenings to machine polish it just about! The stages and products I used are as follows:

1. Medium Clay (Dodo juice lube)

2. Fine Clay (Dodo juice lube)

3. Menz compounding pad with Menz Fast gloss heavy cut to remove swirls

4. Menz Medium pad with Menz Power finish 2500

5. Menz Polishing pad with Menz Final finish 3000

6. Menz Waffle finishing pad with Menz Final Finish 4000

7. Two coats of Poorboys Natty wax

Oh yeah an whoever painted it at VW 21 years ago should've been fired, orange peel on every panel just about...
