165/55's, loads of clearance :) I do have a close up photo of the arch gap somewhere... its minimal!

Ben, are you upset.... That you wont really be able to go any lower than me now? And that mine will just look better?

Please do it Jon

He's fitting a 5 speed though surely?

Too Low = No upfront bracing/subframes = Fail IMO

Yeah he is... that just means we are on even ground ;)

Depends what you want the car for max... no need for them when its low as you cant really drive it to the extent of needing them.

Its either one thing or the other, near impossible to have both unfortunately.

What would you know about "each to there own"?

Toby, Are you fitting the coilovers so you can adjust the height for shows and stuff?

I ask because you just can't go lower than 80mm & 13" wheels with the standard PPP subframes, so using coilovers that can go lower than that seems pointless. But if hes fitting them so he can slam in when its static, then i understand  :-)

I haven't got the subframe anymore max.....

And ben, you say it asif i dont have another car thats on the road, thats about as low as yours is atm and urs is on coilovers  lol:

Sorry for messing your thread Mr Shilling :)

That's not soo bad.

Shit man, you have made me nervous now. Mines in for its mot today!!

Yeah not worried about the cv/wheel bearing ill do that in 20 mins! But the fucking emissions is gonna rape me, Carbon Monoxide emissions are triple what they should be and it was tested for a non-cat vehicle (it still has the cat)....

Haha something seriously wrong with it though :-( I need some helpful person to come over with a timing light and an oscilloscope. I have neither and I cant drive my car to my uni workshop which means i basically have no access to any tools!

This is what i thought but being a student he doesnt want to risk the pigs giving him the full rinse

FAIL! arent you aloud to drive to the place of repair?

Not without prior booking! In which case I'd be done for no tax/no mot and id get fucked in the ass with points and a fine if i drove it to the workshop.

S'alright, my mates coming over in a bit with a timing light so I'll be able to get that bang on and ruled out, I've also found that the hose connected to the AFM was rather loose and sucking in excess air, so tightened that up. I've had the lambda sensor out and it definitely looks like it's seen better days! Will be investing even though I can't afford it (that's what overdrafts were made for, right?)

For future reference who've had problems with CO emissions with their GT, great article:
