as some of you may know i own a mk3 saloon as a few of you may also know very recently i had an accident in my loon which after a heart breaking decision have decided it cant be fixed so i had to find another car which i did in the form of a 1995 mk3 golf which decided it didnt like running and promptly ate its cam belt so after this nightmare a genesis came up for sale now the pictures that i received where promising looked a little rough around the edges but a straight decent polo non the less only problem was the colour its tornado pink and when i picked it up it was pink. for those that want the tech specs

looks better now its been polished the wheel trims are on properly bar the one i lost at 90 on the motorway have you ever seen how far they go its quite funny god knows how they sat like that though lol took some fookin hours to get the paint to look something lik

As does the stupid audi badge. Why do people put these grills on? its not an audi nor does it look cool

the gt badge is there from the previous owner if you have a spare normal badge then i would happily replace it and the audi badge is just stuck over the vw badge i did it to annoy a few people and its worked lol I'm rather partial to my audi polo thank you its the closet thing i have to luxury lol and I'm slowly shifting all the stuff from the loon to the coupe as i need to strip the loon the coupe already has vented disks and polybushes and as you can see I'm in the process of beautification although seeing as the last owner fell asleep at the wheel i need a few panels to replace the worst ones on the passenger side, should all be nearly ready for action fingers crossed

You should get this re-sprayed, lowered and on some decent rims!

whats the difference between the interiors bud and mine will need a respray but just down one side as the other side is good its come up really well

The GT seats do have a similar print to your genesis interior, but the GT seats have high bolsters and are more sporty looking.

Only difference is the front seats though mate!

ah right so i still need to find some gt seats or better bloody hell lol

anyway update so today i did my head gasket with paul (el capitain urbis) but in the process of doing the head gasket because my water pump wouldnt come out we tried to ease it out so we could get the cam belt off and the plastic trim as my cam bolt wont undo so in the process of doing that i think my waterpump is now loose because when everything was put back together and tightened the waterpump started leaking so now i have a fixed head gasket but a broken waterpump isnt life great

Should have changed it anyway ideally dude.

Lesson learnt though ey

it could be loads worse just a monumental pain in the arse lol was at tatton today car looked great shining in the sun what little of it we got will be at leeds next weekend and then action the beggining of september with hopefully a few changes but we shall see i shall keep this updated with pictures

right so I've not updated for a few days and I've still not taken any photos lol but ill update then get pics up so far I've fitted vw2 brakes with vented disks polybushed the front end fitted late spec rear lights put a new bonnet on so its not crusty I've got a new undented door and wing to go on still to fit the suspension from the loon replaced the heater resistor and put a glovebox lid on there is lots still to do but until I've got more time and money it shall have to wait

right seeing as i got my camera back heres the progress so far as some of you know the suspension has gone on that audi badge has been taken off and my polo is wearing new shoes ill let the pics do the talking for now

Personally I'd space the rears out a bit, but looks good, I like!

what size tyres are you running on the front.. i've got a set of teardrops that need some new rubber, just haven't found the correct fitment yet, but looks fairly good on the fronts. cars looking goodl :)

running 175/50/14s up front and 185/55/14s at the rear but they do scrub so may need to roll my arches then space em abit
