right had enough of having a slow fucked aav now so me and a very good friend are moving quite quickly towards a quicker less buggered engine for the coupe which involves a new head new cam new bike carbs and new exhaust the majority of which i have i just need the mk2 dizzy/wiring and a few other bits and pieces

right the weekend before last max and myself started to strip and rebuild my engine he came on the friday with the full intention of us making a start getting it stripped we however opted for get drunk start saturday

saturday morning after getting a few bits we started to strip it down

how it started on spi

after 10 mins or so

after abit of swearing at it

we got the head on and timed it on saturday it even ran briefly, after both of us were knackered with badly mishapen backs we called it a night went to tesco, then a meet for 10 mins or so then back for beans on toast and beer we shall leave out what happened to my nieghbours windows

sunday morning we went back at it max took the carbs back off which left it like this

then after a little more work it looked like this

we did a little fine tuning then went for a drive epic fun and noise then home to clean up

forgot to mention all in all its had a new cam belt, new gt head, new waterpump, new alternator belt, bike carb conversion,and a 268 cam it needs bigger jets as it only made 78.6bhp which is near enough 80 at the fly

Should be so much better with the carbs actually set up, should easily make 90-95bhp considering the spec.

Bloody nora I keep forgetting to update this right quick one I took her for mot the guy got her stuck on the rollers then the emissions where that high they could've killed all of us actually gave me a headache upon inspection found that 2/3 and 4 sliders where sticking due to bent springs anyhow changed them out and the car shifts as it should again and smells like roses now well maybe not but better then it did so retest monday to see if colour tune and new springs sorted it really need to buy a balancer

right I got some more goodies for the polo and after nearly a year my sunroof has been replaced and works again

needed abit of a polish

finally got a new wheel cap

then got some more wheels

and I've started to repaint my badges

so after much cleaning and beautification I went and got some pics the other day

I need a new panel but finding one isnt easy

right so after a few months of just enjoying snapping throttle cables and such I have decided that I really do need to sort the polo out with a few replacement bits first off suspension not quite sure on which kit to go for but it wont be another fk kit or whatever such and such sells

next brakes I'm going down the braided hose route with pimpled disks and some decent pads

then wheels kinda had enough of looking at the teardrops all the time now so I don't know which route to take the car now
