Got the car in june with 50,000 on the clock with FVWSH, i am currently paying it off so i cant spend major amounts on it yet but thankfully it has already got SPAX coilovers fitted.

Current Specs:

Engine: 1.6 16v....planning BMC CDA with stainless steel

Suspension:

SPAX Coilovers

Brakes: Standard but possibly replacing

Wheels and Tyres: Standard BBS RXII's fully refurbed

Exterior Styling: Pressed Private plate, plan to remove rear wiper change aerial and maybe get rid of the polo badge

Looks lovely mate :) picking up my silver 6n2 GTI Monday

Cars looking sweet!!

This might sound stupid but any idea what mats they are ? i orderd some on ebay for my 6n2 and they were completely wrong !

Look like standard gti mats mate. Might be worth ordering some from VW. Might be a bit pricey mind.

  • Author

yeah i pressume they are the standard ones but i think i am going to order some new ones mine are looking a little worn. may be dying the carpet aswell...

O and watch this space, just fetched some schmidt modernlines and i am getting my arches rolled at the weekend ;)

loving the Schmidts. how come its rubbin? looks like theres plenty of room.

Get some 185/45's on them and arch work and you shouldnt rub anymore! Untill you start running ti stupid low.

  • Author

Arch work i done !!! they do not rub any more :) !!.

thats the good news, the bad news is my front coilover has seized so now iv got to rip it out and do my best to get it to wind down.

I AM DETERMINED TO GET IT LOW !!! and no seized coilover will stop me !

Let us know how this goes to get the swirl martks out?

Also what products are you using to get them out. I haver a black 6n2 and the swirl marks piss me off!!

  • Author

After doing some research.. if the swirl marks are only light then i will be using a softer pad on the dual action polisher with dodo juice lime prime which is a pre cleanser but is slightly abrasive meaning it will take a really thin layer off which may be enough to get rid of them. if not then i will use the menzerna stuff that came with the polisher and use a medium grade pad. i will post some before and afters up.
