clutch noise?

Featured Replies

I noticed last night that when I'm coming down the gears -4-3-2-1 etc that sometimes when i let my clutch out for the gear to engage it makes quite a weird squeak in the process, my clutch bite is quite high so i understand it might be a new clutch job but I'm not sure so if anyone can give me some words of wisdom i would appreiciate it, thanks :)

i dont know how to describe the noise pal,

but its a but like a really short sharp tyre screech :/

It sounds a lot like your clutch release bearing is telling you that it wants to retire! This would normally be fitted as part of a new clutch.

Regards.

Okay mate, its developed doing it when I rev in neutral aswell, could it be a loose mount somewhere maybe?

My friend said myn clutch realease bearing went but I tried driving to the mrs house n it started winning banging n apparently my gearbox has gone maybe urs is on way out like myn! But don't take my word 4 it! Hopefully u get it sorted mate!

Release bearings rattle when they r on there way out.

Put you are car in neutral with clutch up and engine running, if its rattling then its ded, sounds a lot like a clutch problem to me
