1990 Mazda RX7 Turbo II Cabriolet - £800 - Non-Polos

Up for sale is my 1990 Mazda RX7 Turbo II convertible.

I've had this car for a few months now and it has been absolutely brilliant fun to drive.

The engine is strong and starts whether hot or cold and pulls well in every gear. It has no heating issues and doesn't smoke. It has done a shade of 100,000 miles.

It's MOTed until I believe March next year and Taxed until October this year.

It has Koni shocks all round and sticks to the road like i've never known a fairly big car to before. She just grips and goes.

Good tyres all round on standard BBS alloys with very minimal curbing on a couple.

HKS mushroom air filter fitted and decat also fitted.

Unfortunately there are some bad bits hence the price.

The bodywork is bad - a previous owner painted the car a new metallic blue which is quite a nice colour. Unfortunately the job hasn't been done very well at all and the car will require a full spray job to make it become mint.

There is no service history with the engine which I understand is quite scary especially with a wankle engine. However it pulls so well I can only presume it has been looked after (it has in my ownership being warmed up and cooled down.) It uses the right amount of oil, the oil pressure is good and there is no issues with the engine hot or cold.

The baffles have gone in one of the back boxes so it does pop a little and sounds quite raspy.

There is a tear in the roof on the right hand side but it doesn't leak through. There is however two drips where the roof meets the body on the outer edges.

Both Electic windows work but the passenger one is noticeably slower.

The bottom rad hose does leak out coolant so occasional top up is required.

I'm selling due to the fact that I live 2 miles from where I work and I'm currently driving the girlfriends car so I don't have to drive the RX7 unnecessarily short journeys.

This is ideal for someone who wants a cheap track/drift car or someone who just wants a cheap turbo II (like I did)

I paid £1400 for the car a few months back but unfortunately the advert wasn't as described and I noticed the little niggly faults when I got home. Please check my feedback on eBay ben_dcfc_newsome to see the advert from when I purchased the car.

I will not go any lower than £800 as I'd rather see it sit on my drive than lose anymore money on yet another car!

I'm open to PXs but ideally something different and old or a project car I can stick in my garage.
