Give bell a try.

If not them, the NFU (national farmers union) are always worth a try.

But I'm sure you need to see them directly for a quote.

Can you go multicar or something? I was with Direct Line the first year and they were 700ish (that was not even 2 years ago?). Get your parents on your policy too, get it down a little! :)

But, 5k for a 1.4 8v? I'd be chasing them if it was anything like that man. :/

you can lowerer it by putting your mum, dad, nan ect on your policy though or multi-car policys if you have more then one car to your household. My mate got done for drink driving has 3 points on his licence and pays £900, hes on a multi car policy and has 4 cars to his household.

Same as me paerents car sis car my car on multi car and then parents on my policey payin1300 been driving 3 months and everything delcared :) on a 1.for 8v

Should of insured the car just before you passed your test, would of been alot cheap and then just keep letting it renew.
