Thanks buddy :)

Mine's "Indigo Pearlescent Blue", colour code LB5N iirc, the open air's cool but can be a pain if it has holes in each corner (like mine aha)....and yeah man, I already have two of the tyres just need to buy another two! I hate how high it is atm due to the standard alloys :(

Oh and speaking of the "update" I mentioned....

Picture from the ebay AD^

My brother picked me up another set of 14" BBS RZ's that I won on ebay from Bristol! - They need refurbing but have the center caps :D Going to refurb both sets of alloys and then sell one set

Will hopefully have the wheels refurbed and back on by the end of the month! ;)

Thinking of just re-doing them just silver or silver and black, haven't 100% decided yet man!

And because these cost me £56 including the center caps, plus i've already got two tyres for them :) want to run it lower on 14"s for a while, It also means I don't have to roll my arches just yet!

Plans seem good...

From what i can remember i didnt have any scrubbing until the helper springs where out.

If you do need to roll them just use a heat gun and a hammer  Jobs a goodun..Nice n flat

Would be cool for us to both roll up to a show..you on 14" me on 15" :)

For ghetto arch techniques check my build man. Gives you a more even flair.

Thanks man, my standards have scrubbed the arch lining a bit, but can go down a bit more I reckon!

I would but i'm quite fussy with the arches, I'd probably get them done properly and then get them resprayed! My brother's had his done and his rears are so rusty afterwards :/

And yeah man haha, would look cool ;)

Haha thanks bud! Will probably get them rolled properly though ha, I know i'd end up fucking it up! :p

So I picked up a 6n2 GTI splitter for a fiver last night :D

When I picked it up was in this condition:

404485_2883333435567_1027038044_2939617_

It had been sprayed (badly) in gloss black which was peeling off all over. It has 2 cracks in it but they are only small and hardly noticeable! When removing the paint it has uncovered alot of scratches etc, but cant complain for a fiver!

Spent a few hours cleaning it up and with a bit of back to black it now looks like this:

Working tomorrow unfortunately, so i'm gonna try and fit it Monday :)

Great Find! 8-)

GTI Splitter and Standard Grille back on. Tempted to get hold of some orange indicators too :/

Still playing around with the badged/badgeless grille idea. Gonna keep it like this for a while anyway.

Also starting to refurb my wheels this week ;)

Lookin' good!

:) Orange indicators with tint film to match the rear's ;)

Haven't updated this in a while...purely because I haven't really done much!

Today, after many many months, with the help of a friend I managed to get the inlet gaskets, new MAF sensor and vac hosing fitted.

429434_10151392811050430_763145429_23567

The MAF sensor is placed in such a stupid way that you have to remove the inlet manifold to gain enough access to un-do the two bolts! >.<

It's all back together and running smoothly now :) It hasn't juddered or anything when tapping the acclerator when cold, and doesn't seem to be overfuelling (or not nearly as much as it was! )

Touch wood it stays like this.

Also tomorrow I'm having a new alarm/immobiliser with remote central locking fitted for when I move out :) bit of piece of mind!

I've sold my sub now too so I can finally buy tyres for my BBS' to go on! :D

Will update with more pictures etc soon!

Still no wheel update! :(

However got some pictures with Coreymk3 again one sunny afternoon last week!

Now that the alarm is fitted, I can move on to getting the wheels refurbished, tyres on and car lowered more :)

Then will attack the bodywork!

Also hoping to sort niggly things like sorting the passenger window regulator and putting the carpet back in after 4 months

Expect some updates soon :)

Love the polo, great shot in the last pic

Cheers man :) Yeah, credit goes to Coreymk3 for the pictures! aha

Small, boring little update.

Popped into vw yesterday, got a price list on a number of niggly things!

Also a brand new coilpack from vw is £130 :| deffinitely using ECP for that!

Anyway, Ash at my local parts department gave me two of these

IMAG0231.jpg

This nicely replaced my tattered "Truro" vw tax disc holder with loads of dead flies and crap stuck to it.

IMAG0235.jpg

Small and not interesting update but ah well, there you go! lol

Also have fitted bosch aero wipers and starting to sort little things inside the car.

Carpet goes back in this week, also I'm hoping to pick up a new passenger window regulator and fit that.

Dave

love this car mate, will look awesome on them bbs rz.. did you find the fix of the problem of it juddering when iddling and the fuel/water coming out exhaust? as mines doing the same.

Cheers mate, Yeah the BBS' shall be on soon, started on refurbing the center caps today and sold the spare set on the weekend ;d

And no mine's still being a slut :/ gonna try the coilpack next.

So far to try and solve it I have;

- Put in New spark plugs and leads last august

- Replaced the thermostat, seal and housing

- Replaced the Temp Sensor

- Replaced the Inlet Manifold Gaskets

- Replaced the MAF Sensor

- Replaced the VAC Hosing.

And yet still spluttering on idle...if I tap the accelerator when completely cold it will judder and cut out.

My mate's got a spare coilpack so trying that. Otherwise I think it could either be the lambda sensor, my exhaust as it's heavily corroded or possibly part of the EGR system :/

Oh also managed to snap the handbrake plate today :( front two rivets came out about a month ago. The back two came out today and then the plate snapped :| So that also needs welding now

Edited by daveb142

So as I mentioned the handbrake plate came un-riveted and snapped across the back.

408514_10151427984440430_763145429_23718

Went and got that welded back down the other day so now it's back to being tight ;) giggity.

Need to cut the passenger sound proofing out as it's wet from where the door leaked at one point.

Also:

538718_10151431756310430_763145429_23733

Currently one wheel is sanded down, so the rest now need to be refurbed to match/get rid of the curbing. Wish I never started, they look fine minus the curbing
