Toby's Reflex Silver 6n2

Featured Replies

I've been floating around on here since my birthday back in April waiting to get a bit closer to my test before saying anything much!

So here's my car...

Model: Polo 6n2 SE in Reflex Silver

Engine: 1.4 MPI

Suspension: Standard… for now, can't get too low round here though, completely surrounded by speed bumps :(

Brakes: Front: Pagid discs & pads Rear: Drums

Wheels and Tyres: Standard steels… for now. - Considering spraying them so they look cool under my black trims.

Exterior Styling: GTI Grill, Black Wheel Trims(, crash damaged rear bumper)

Interior Styling: Standard… Would like to make some changes, not sure what.

ICE and Security: Alpine CDE-W203Ri, everything else standard… for now.

Comments: Given to me by my mum and insured as a 21st b'day present. Mum bought it second hand in 2002 and it spent it's younger years being abused by myself, my sister and friends and neglected by mum while we were younger, now it's getting some TLC that it very much deserves. I've been lazy about learning to drive and haven't had the time until now due to work but with my test (finally) coming up I thought I'd get this thread posted and start playing with the car.

I've already made some changes and quite a few repairs but there's still quite a way to go to get anything like some of the awesome stuff you guys 'n' girls all have!

To do list, in sort of an order:

-- Fix gearbox oil leak, seems to be a normal thing, it's leaking where the linkage meets the box, have been topping it up but needs to get sorted asap.

-- Replace rear bumper

-- Sort out all paint damage issues

-- Polish / replace headlights to remove misty appearance

-- Alloys and lowering

I'll get some nicer photos done once I'm out and about a bit more, and I'll remember to take the key out of the door next time too ;)

Suggestions and comments welcome!

Thanks!

I'm away this weekend but will be doing some work as soon as I'm back to get my current to do list finished off along with some better photos. Then on to alloys and figuring out how much I can drop on coilies here before I get stuck on one of the many speed bumps round here! That said I suspect it will be while before I get lowering.

As I said already, I'm very much open to ideas on things to do, so all ideas welcome. :)
