It's well advertised on their site, but 25% off at Eurocarparts is a bit of a winner (code winter25), especcially as you can use it with click and collect.

As for the halfords set, I've never looked back after buying mine and in the 3 years of ownership all I've killed is the middle rachet and a couple of Allen key and flat head screw driver attachment bits... Mostly through missuse mind

Keep the receipt and they'll replace broken bits, only the ratchet mechanisms aren't covered by the lifetime warranty. Sometimes it takes some negotiation with the staff, but they usually replace the bits.

Why can't they just say 16% off?

I'm sure it could be classed as false advertising because you will still be paying VAT just less of it as the price is less.

Works well in Machine Mart because it means you pay the to price not the bottom one in the book.

no...

because you cannot subtract VAT by taking 20% off.

you have to subtract 16.7% to find the original value (i.e multiply by 0.833)
