Anyone got any good recommendations for which tyres to go for in this size? Getting right down to the wear limit now so really must get some.

currently have continental ecocontacts and I hate them

on black circles have spotted pirelli p3000s or Goodyear duragrips.. anyone with any experience of either of these?

I don't personally rate Pirellis, tend to be a bit unforgiving on an older car. I had P6000s on the rocco and they were fucking terrifying.

x2 for Avons. The ZV3s I put on in May last year will have seen about 15k before I have to change them in a couple of months. Awesome! I drive like a grandad 95% of the time though

Edit: The fronts will have seen ~15k but the time they're changed. The rears are still going strong.

avons. on my mk2 i had cr322s which are far from sporty but provided good grip in all weather rain, sun, snow and fire but particularly snow.

Found avon zt5's these any good?

Actually just found Avon CR322's through mytyres.co.uk, these better than the zt5's anyone know?

They're not intended as a sporty tyre, but they're my first choice on any old polo

Just a though but 175/60 being a slightly lower profile is this not gonna look a little odd on a gt with a standard ride height? G40's are 40mm lower as standard aren't they?

Then you sir are bloody genius! :) ok any recommendations based on that size? I that opens the prospect of toyo proxes cf1's and yokohama a539's. I've seen a lot people on here going on about them both but are they any good?

Pretty sure you can get proxies in 165/65/13, I've got a brand new pair back at may parents I think.
