Smaller wheels = lower gearing, good for smoking others at traffic lights.

I say, why not? most 6n polo's are just shit now, they're practical but no longer new and not old enough to be retro, so stick whatever wheels on just to be cool.

Wheel size alone won't effect gearing.. it's the choice of tyres. Assuming you keep the correct rolling radius, by fitting epic balloon tyres to your tiny wheels, then there's no difference in gearing.

But I'm assuming this is far from the case...
