Just butchered my rear arches to death trying to widen them ha, ill get some pics up later. Booked it in with a lad in doncaster to design and fit me some custom wide arches in around 3 weeks time. I can then lower it a lot more.

Yep haha, i should have used the scissor jack method instead of the scaff bar method lol, its forced me into having the job done properly though which is a good thing.

Anybody got an 044 fuel pump for sale so i can re-map her with some big fuel pressure?

  • Author

Just got this through today and ordered a cradle to sit it in. should give me some good fuel pressure coupled with the walbro 255 in the tank. Might need to upgrade the fuel lines to something a bit thicker though. A few new parts in the pipe line are: a quaife diff, and some piper racing cams. Best get saving up

Got all the fixtures and fittings for the 044 pump and some dice dust caps lol. Also just ordered some of these 264 piper racing cams from Ebay but their going to be up to 21 days before they come unfortunately. Another small but still an update is I've just Taxed it ready for the big drive to Doncaster tomorrow so i can have my custom rear arches measured up.

Pologay, they're different shape arches to start with so its slightly easier. It's a shame the mk4 arches don't come out too well with a scaff bar tbh, should have hammered them!

I should have ha, i went down to see about having custom arches welded in today and he told me to come back next week with my choice of arch to fit so I'm trying to hunt down some front 6n2 wings to chop up. ill get some pics up as progress is made.

Went and got a couple of 6n2 wings to chop up today, I'm booked in for tuesday for the work to begin. Also had a delivery, my piper cams are here after 4 days and they were ment to take a month to come.

EDIT: LOL at my rockports

Bought these today, 2 more 16" steels to be banded to 9j for the front, might have to use minimal lock when driving ha. I love it when cars look like their sat on marshmellows though. just waiting to see how the rear arches look when they're completed now so i can think up something for the front.

Arches are looking an absolute treat, i havn't got a phone with a camera on or would have took some pics while i was up there. Very very impressed with the lads work. Hes that good they feel smooth with out filler lol. Everythings been welded that precise there will be minimal filler involved.

Right, the thing i came on for - I now have a set of 4 x 16" steels up for sale with a 4 x 100 fitment if anybody wants them, 2 of them are 7.5j and the other 2 are standard 6.5j ready to be banded to what ever size the buyer wants. (i do know a good company i could recommend) This may sound expensive for the wheels but they are a rare thing to come across, i Payed nearly 400 for the wheels altogether and I'm wanting 280 back for them. If nobody wants them I'm either going to buy another polo and put them on that or ebay them as they fit a lot of things like mk2's, E30's, all old vauxhall, old renault etc. Drop me a PM if you want them.

came across this by chance, 5 door... but the arches are like what you want.
