Hi how easy was the vr6 to fit? I'm planning on doing the same but non-turbo.

An absolute nightmare mate, i didn't get no build pics either. I think there's still some information on the net from the red one that i built a few years ago though, if you search for polo 6n vr6 on google it might be advantageous ha.

It is chopped strand ha, their not air bubbles, its where the gel coats stuck to the resin. I must not have used enough release agent.

what release agent you using PVA or honey wax ????

No ha must be an optical illusion. I used honey wax but got cocky and only put 5 layers on even though the instructions said 8. I used 8 on the bonnet and had no problems what so ever.

honey wax is good stuff (even well you leave lasts coat on over night) use it all the time pva its handy for first time moulds

He did it me for £3k because i know him well. He said he'd never do another one though lol. I payed around £1000 for the engine box and ecu and everything as it was bone dry no leaks and low mileage.

My god how much lol!! It cost me £500 to convert my old mk2 golf and that was a low mileage engine and box 65k the lot.. Even a de immobilised ecu and that included the VR conversion front mount

Its a completely different ball game mate, u know yourself how tight the engine bay is on a 6n and how big of a lump the vr6 is. i could fit a jet engine in a mk2 lol.

Aha i thought u meant the conversion price was expensive sorry. I know I've seen the bulk head chop you've done and that, some good work. I think a bulk head chop might be on its way for me too in order to fit this gt35r in there. Its a tight squeeze already with the little turbo thats on haha.

No as a conversion that's a good price a lad I no got quoted 11k for a drive in drive out vtec conversion in a mk2 golf mine stands me at £800 haha. Thanks buddy. Yehh I thing you might need to, but you might need to bin off the heater matrix I had no choice so I'm installing an electric heater..

That's one reason I'm happy with the vtec in the polo bay plenty of room up front lol

I know, there's nothing worse than gas and no spark ha. Its there to try and show the size of the turbo.
