Cheers mate, no they're not mounted in yet and they're top heavy so wouldn't stand up for the pic lol. Think I'm going to sell the drivers one now and replace it with 1 the same as the passenger side though.

haha, i was messing i guess as much :p

Ahh, passengers one better? drivers looks to be the same as fitted to alot of kitcars?

Oh ye lol. Ye that's the ones mate I've seen them in a lot of kit cars too. VERY uncomfortable and very narrow for the larger kid haha. The are 3kg lighter than the other ones but I'm willing to add that to the weight of the car in order for some comfort lol.

haha, whats the pasengers one made of? looks like a seat insert and looks like its made of rubber lol.

I got a window company to come out and prime them and bond them in. It only cost £40 for the 2 doing. A tube of tiger seal and a gun would have been £25 not to mention they wouldn't have been primed lol.

I was going to get some bike screen bolts iv got loads in the garage, and find a window seal that would work with it.. Good plan getting a company in though. Costs a little more and less hassle

Adaptormans been today. Tubular manifold is coming along nicely. May be a picture update tomorrow when more has been added to it. At the minute its just a flange with a few pipes welded to it so not really photogenic lol

The silver looks alot better. :-) coming along well. Looka ace. Would love to have a go in it!

Haha, ill take you in it if i see you at a show lol. I think I'm going white with them now.

Right, just been round to the garage to fit the bigger brakes and i can't as the ball joints are different and the wheels won't go over them. Anybody know where i can get some custom ball joints?

Polo 16v Ball joint is threaded with a nut on top

poloballjoint_zps8426623f.jpg

Mk2 golf ball joint has a pinch bolt that runs through it

mk2golfballjoint_zps9aa48dd8.jpg

I need a polo base with a mk2 golf shaft on it. Is there a part out there which already exists? Cheers

Now then fella what you will need to do is run a mk3 golf or mk2 hub and outer c.v but the issue is the ball joint, the bolt hole dont line up to the polo arm so you have to re shape the end of the arm but that is a long shot tbh or another way is to. Use 9n ball joints and get the mk2/3 ball joint pressed into the casing so you mixing golf with polo just to get it right but i don't

know who does anything like that with ball joints local.

Okay cheers mate, i don't know if their a fixed unit or if you can push the centre out of one and replace it with a mk2 golf one? Not sure if it will just damage it.

Just ordered these 25mm spacers so that my wheels will fit. Just the ball joint problem to solve now. Hmmmmm

25mmspacers_zpscb15225c.jpg

You could get the polo ones and get the ball joint adapted check my thread about my rear tcas as I used escort adjustable ones which have the thread like your polo ones but as I'm running ml1 golf hubs I needed a pinch bolt ball joint

So I made some adapters that screw onto the thread and taper and convert it to the pinch bolt type

I made mine from stainless but they may be better made from some en19t or en24t steel then heat treated for hardness and durability

I will probably make myself some more out of that material as I need to make some more for my front tcas too as il be using the same escort tcas on the front

Hope this helps
